How To Make Money Selling Sunglasses

Updated on August 18, 2012

Learn How To Make Money Selling Sunglasses

You probably already know you can make money selling sunglasses but there are a few things you should know in order to start making money selling sunglasses.

Find A Supplier

One of the first things you need to do is find a sunglasses supplier that can sell you sunglasses in bulk. There are many suppliers that you can buy from and you can start selling sunglasses as soon as you receive your order. However, since there are many suppliers out there, you need to know what to look for in a supplier. There are basically three things you want to keep in mind when you are looking for a supplier.

Quality Of The Sunglasses

When you want to make money selling sunglasses, then you want to make sure you are not selling sunglasses that are rubbish. Try to find a supplier that has quality sunglasses that look good and will not break.

Pricing

You will want to make sure you are getting quality sunglasses at good a price. You don't want to overpay and end up with a bunch of low quality sunglasses that you have to sell for $15 each in order to make a profit. In order to find a good price, check out a few suppliers and compare their bulk prices on sunglasses. Try to get a deal that will allow you to charge $5-$8 per sunglasses, and still make a little bit of a profit on the deal.

Variety

You will also want to choose a supplier that has sunglasses that come in a variety of designs and styles. Variety is important because you want to make money selling sunglasses, and in order to do so you will need a variety of sunglasses for your customers to choose from.

Once you have found a supplier and place an order for sunglasses, you will need to know where to sell your sunglasses.

Where To Sell Your Sunglasses

eBay

Amazon

Your Blog

Your Own Website

A Kiosk At The Mall

Facebook

Take a look at all of the above. These are just a few ways you can sell your sunglasses to people. I recommend selling your sunglasses on eBay and Amazon. Once you have your sunglasses on eBay and Amazon you can then link your Amazon and eBay pages to sites such as Squidoo, where there are Amazon and eBay modules that you can use.

I also highly recommend getting the word out via Facebook. I am not 100% sure on this but I think if you have a Facebook page you can accept orders via your business page but again I am not sure about this but if you are not able to, still use Facebook to get the word out about your business, which will be selling sunglasses.

Is It For You

Selling sunglasses is a very tough business to be in because many other people and companies do the same thing but then again, what market or industry isn't competitive? I think it is worth pursuing if you want to make extra cash and you have a few hundred dollars to invest into it, as well as a good network of Facebook friends or friends on other social networking websites. If you do not have these things, then work on getting them because I believe that they are crucial if you want to succeed in selling sunglasses and making some good money doing it.
